Casio Baby-G BGR-210 watch: a vague operating manual
Argh! Now I've gone to the bother of writing this, I've finally found instructions on the Casio World website! - 2288 Manual (PDF). Typical!
Disclaimer
I was given a Baby-G watch sans the instructions by a friend who has moved on to an alternative timepiece so this is by no means a definitive guide on how to use watch because everything I've noted below has been worked out using trial and error.
While the text on the watch face does hint at how to use the watch... and while I was on the right track, life is much easier if you have a set of instructions to use. I couldn't find any destructions on the Internet (well, nothing that was obviously indexed anyway) so I've decided to put these destructions up incase anyone else is going mildly insane and wants to be able to at least set the time on their watch without the need for trial and error.

Firstly a picture of your watch face... so you know we're talking about the same thing and so you will have a vague idea about what I'm talking about on this page.
Watch buttons
Adjust
- To change settings/data on your watch, locate the screen/data you wish to change (using the select/mode button)and then hold the adjust button down for a second or two until you see data on your watch flashing/hear a beep. The data will flash to indicate that you are now in adjust mode and can change settings - if the data is not flashing, you'll need to try again.
- To save changes you've made to settings/data hit the adjust button to save changes and exit the adjust mode.
Mode/Select
- Press down to change between different modes/screens on your watch - eg. time keeping mode, dual time mode (DT), telememo telephone database (DB), count down in days/day count (DC), alarms (AL), stop watch (ST). Each press of the button will cycle through to a the next available mode.
- When you are in adjust mode, this button will cycle you to the next character/field on the screen - the selected character/field will flash to indicate that it is the character/field currently being edited... to skip a character/field (leave it as it is), simply hit the button again to move on to the next character/field.
24HR/FWD
- Press down to switch/toggle between 24 hour and 12 hour display.
- When you are in adjust mode, this button will move forward/up through characters and numbers, allowing you to customise/set the data/time/date.
- When you are in stop watch mode, this button will start and stop the timer
- In adjust mode, when you are changing time you can toggle day light savings mode on or off - the seconds display will show 'on' to indicate day light savings mode is on and 'of' to indicate day light savings mode is off.
- In adjust mode, when changing the seconds for the time, this button will bring the seconds setting back to '00'.
- This button will move you between different records in database, days count down and alarms modes.
ALM ON/REV
- When you are in alarm mode, select the alarm you want to turn on/off using the '24HR/FWD' button and then use this button to turn the alarm on or off. When the alarm is on, a section of the alarm display (top right display) is shaded... when the alarm is off, the shading disappears... try it and watch the display and you'll see what I mean.
- When you are in adjust mode, this button will move backwards/down through characters and numbers in reverse order, allowing you to customise/set the data/time/date.
