It crawled deep into the earth.
Like a serpent - Long, deadly, still.
It engulfed the unwary.
It destroyed human lives
The Chasm.
Deep inside the chasm,
Where all the darkness reigned,
No people lingered
Not one of them remained
The Chasm
Crack! The wall, The chasm,
Is falling like
Smoker's lungs
Animals die fast
The chasm.
The chasm
It's gone
Fallen in
Upon itself.
No more death.
No reaper.
The chasm.
The chasm
It's gone
The sun
Shed its rays
On the rocks.
The chasm
It's gone.
Forever.
The chasm
written by: Whiskey Sour
Once, thought to be lost in the depths of a school year book, the chasm rose from the ashes to appear in a website guestbook. Said guest book is now hard to find but the poem has continued to live on... now, once again, the chasm (as written by Whiskey Sour) rises again to be immortalised on the web.
