Cooking time
Not long. Really. It's the refridgeration time that makes it take so long..
Ingredients
- 200g Marshmallows
- 60g Butter
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 125g [block] of plain chocolate - chopped, grated or pre-bought in bits
- 125g (1 cup) nuts or fruit or any other flavouring/additive that takes your fancy. You don't need to add anything if you'd rather have it plain.
Method
- Combine marshmallows, butter and water in a saucepan.
- Stir over low heat until butter and marshmallows are melted (OR microwave on medium high for about 2 minutes).
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla essence and chocolate
- Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture begins to thicken.
- Stir in flaviouring (nuts/fruit); mixture should be thick and sticky.
- Grease tray and pour mixture into tray (8x26cm tray)
- Refrigerate for several hours and once set, cut into cubes.
- Enjoy.
