independent arts foundation events

The Performing Arts Committee has a varied program involving lunches, guest speakers, arts tours and other social events.
The Special Events Committee devotes its energies to major, one-off events such as the Adelaide Writers' Week Breakfast.
The Literary Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Polo Club of the Union Hotel in Waymouth Street, Adelaide. A guest speaker, a literary quiz and good food and wine are regular features of the club. Wakefield Press sponsors the club.
The Film Club meets on the second Monday of every month at the Trak Cinema and afterwards over supper at Jets Restaurant, Burnside. A guest speaker from the film industry is usually featured at the supper.

what is the iaf?

Established in 1991, the IAF is a non-profit membership organisation.

Building on the traditions of its predecessor, the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust, its primary purpose is to support the development of the Arts in South Australia, particularly young emerging artists.

how do the iaf meet their goals?

The IAF meet their goals by raising funs from their events.

Funds are directed to support arts projects such as the biennial Adelaide Writers' Week and the Adelaide Fringe, the annual Independent Arts Foundation Literature Scholarship for an emerging young writer and the Adelaide Critics' Circle awards.

Throughout the year, the IAF mounts an exciting range of events for its members and their friends.
