So the bunny finally has a name - Oscar (or Oskar, depending on which spelling you prefer) as in Oscar the Grouch, Oscar and Lucinda, Oskar Schindler, The Oscars, Oscar Wilde or see http://www.biography.com for more Oskars and Oscars. Frankly depending on who asks, I shall be supplying different names as my inspiration. Why pin the rabbit down to being named after one?
Oscar/Oskar (haven't decided which spelling I prefer) is grey and cautiously curious (getting less cautious each day). It is coping well with Neo (the cat) and vice versa... together they are seriously *cute*. Oscar is a netherlands dwarf bunny that may have got crossed with something a little larger - you should see it's dad! The Bunny is almost the size that Bellamy was when fully grown and HE is only a baby.
Bellamy was a Netherlands as well who loved chocolate (which was only an occassional treat as it is very bad for rabbits), chasing cats, travel and taunting humans by sitting just out of their reach - he even came to the beach with me once. On another occassion, to fulfill his desire to travel, I had to smuggle him in a well ventilated fully kitted out bag to the "west coast" (Eyre Peninsula) on the bus where he enjoyed the country air and westcoaster hospitality.
I would have never believed it, but the rabbit's new name lead a group of people to another discussion about how bad guys never seem to have ineffectual names, like say 'Timmy' for example - or even 'Oscar'. Turning the conversation back on the bunny these crazy folk have decided to go in search of Oscars/Oskars through history are evil. Or at least, not particularly nice. How is the wabbit? (Whom I shall insist on calling Warren at every opportunity)

I think you should re-name all of your little people 'Abdul', as in the Python quote: 'he had a menagerie all called Abdul', I think it was in the dog licence sketch or similar (or was it 'wasp club'??: AARRRGHH, the wasp's on the Tiger!!!). =>> As your pet collection is really getting to 'menagerie' status, and close to M0's number of cool glass stuff.

I requested help in picking a name for a rabbit... and got many names from the down right silly to witty and esteemed ones - some of the ones I seriously considered were Lewis (this was a compromise because I wouldn't consider Carol or Alice), Biggles, Mozart, Fang, Bob.
I received a lot of suggestions that related too food (sigh) or death (funny, but bad Karma) and many 'people' type names that just don't work on a bunny. If I ever get a black bunny, I will probably name it Fang - what a cool name for a rabbit (thanks, Al !).
The next step will be to introduce it to the garden - preferably on a nice sunny day when I can go insane trying to supervise Einstein and Tolstoy (tortoises), Neo (cat) and Oscar (rabbit) all at the same time. Do you know how hard that is? Tortoises tele-transport all over the place (They do! Just ask MOK - how else can you explain how they can get from one spot to another in super quick time without anyone noticing?) and cats and rabbits are just quick and tricky.
