Add page to: Add page to: The 'Off Ya Butt' section of grudknows.com has been coverted to a blog, making it easier for selected people to contribute directly and for everyone to post comments and share their thoughts on a particular matter.
The comments are moderated - not for censorship purposes but just because it's the 'Net and lots of people like to spam unmoderated blogs that are open to public comment - and I *really* hate spam. All comments, whether they are in agreement or not, are welcomed but there'll be a slight delay before they appear on the site due the moderation but rest assured, if your comment doesn't isn't hate speech, junk mail or spam - it *will* be posted.
(To prove my point about spam via comment - the first comment I received was spam, containing just a URL. *Sigh*. I knew I had a point but didn't expect it to be proven quite so quickly.
I've gone with moderation because I want to avoid using the 'type the text' verification if possible as I find it doesn't always work and don't want to restrict comments to blogger members only. If I get too many spams and have to do one of the two I'll opt for the 'type the text' verification.
The rules (if we must call them that)are pretty basic:
commenters no spam, no hate speech (that is comments that are non-constructive and have no point and are just filled with hate - if you want to write a constructive piece that has a point that comes across as a bit hateful to some folks that's an entirely different matter - it's intelligence and thought vs. mindless dribble really).
Key contributors - your content should be something that *could* promote someone to get off their butt and take action (if they wanted to) whether it be action as basic as writing a letter, finding out more about an issue or situation or something else. It can be local, national, international. Ideally, people will have passionate views on the matter.
If you want to submit content to 'Off ya butt' contact grudknows.com and ask for an invitation to join the off ya butt blog to be sent to an email address of your choice. You will need to either create or use an existing blogger account to submit content to this section of grudknows.com
