A short foray into the world of unemployment

For the first time in ... let's say many years, I have found myself unemployed. Sure, its just for a day and sure, I have very little chance of being able to claim government benefits for my efforts over the course of today, but hey - I will be trying my hardest to make the most of it :) I'm trying to blend into my suburban surroundings and darn it, I'm going to do it well!

So.

Unemployed.

My first task as an unemployed person was to drink. I did that last night and in true unemployed style, someone else paid for it.

My second task as an unemployed person was to sit around having mindless conversation. This is something I started whilst drinking beer, with other people who'd been drinking beer.

My third task was to spend money on something entirely unnecessary. Now, I might be pushing the boundaries here. Normally I should have been signing a pay-TV contract but I drew the line there .. I'm only unemployed for a day! Instead, an expensive dinner :D

Fourth task? Sleeping in of course. Its heading closely towards mid-morning and I'm still in bed, but to be honest, most of my ex-colleagues won't even be at their jobs yet, so I'm not sure I've been in bed long enough yet. I'm trying to hold out :P

I think this is the part where everything starts falling apart ;) I don't have anywhere to be as such. I don't have anything to do as such. I'm sure my next task is lunch, somewhere a bit later on. Not entirely sure what to do now other than drink or get stoned, though I'm not sure I want to blend into my surroundings THAT well...

So I guess I have me a whole day to enjoy before I am employed again tomorrow ;)

Not sure I'd want to do this every day to be honest :P
