My first temp agency experience was quite good. I'd worked with lots of temps from that agency in the past so viewed them quite positively. Still do.
The paperwork! All that writing. You forget when you use a keyboard all day exactly how tiresome actual handwriting can be.
The tests were not too bad but were via a simulated environment - and, I swear the 'MS Word' test cheated when it asked me how to insert a copyright symbol. It told me I was wrong and let me try again but I've since checked it on various versions of word and what I was doing worked. It's kinda annoying to be ripped off when you know you are being scored. But I did reasonably well in the testing and even got a better typing speed than expected, considering my typing habits are erractic and my speed seems to depend on the type of work I've been doing for the last few weeks. No work yet through them, have a follow up induction to do, but as far as experiences go, it wasn't too bad.
