Dole Blogger: Resources for those "looking"

My beautiful friends keep sending me a list of resources (most of which I'm aware of and use daily) to aid me with my job search.

In addition to the resources that I have received a number of times from a number of people, there are some resources which I've used over the years - or referred others to - that must not been so commonly known as no one has sent them to be. This list includes a range of job search databases, job guidance, resources for letter and resume templates and advice, interview tips and even how to resign a job.

I thought, since I have these for the most part nicely bookmarked either in my web browsers, or in my head, that I'd share them with others who may be unemployed or who may already have a job but are looking for new oppportunities or a change of job scenery.

The commonly used and not so commonly used resources, in no particular order, are:

i-resign.com - a useful guide to resigning, silly stuff to make you laugh, career and job hunting advice.
CareerOne - job search database
Seek - Job search database.
The Virtual Interviewer - a seek.com resource that gives you interview questions and displays hints about what certain questions are really asking.
monsterjobs.com.au - links to a heap of job resources and career information

The Australian Job Guide
Australian JobSearch - job network... if you are in the unemployment system, you'll know this one as you HAVE to apply for a certain quota of jobs from this resource every fortnight.

ABC Jobs - get a job with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC media network)
typingtest.com - test your own typing speed (see also Google results: free online typing test)
